You will hear the legends of soul and jazz (from Ray Charles to James Brown) in a groovy, catchy way. If you know Mr. Davison, you know he’s an ellegant jazz gentleman. But this time, it will be a wild show!

The “Bohemia After Dark” Project – Tribute to the Giants of Bop (UK/CZ)

This new project focuses on authentic performances of both classics and neglected gems from the discography of pioneering bebop drummer Kenny Clarke (1914-1985), either as a leader or sideman.  It covers the “golden age” of bebop in the 1940s through cool jazz to the emergence of hard bop in the mid-1950s.   Clarke’s discography is unusually rich and diverse, as he played on hundreds of recordings (“sides”) during this period with almost all the major figures of both the swing and bop eras.

Welcome the 2021 with jazzy groove!

This Year Reduta celebrates 60 years of existence!
New Year's Eve therefore extended celebration shall run in great style, including a midnight toast with guests, the band and the club owner.
The very last evening of the present year shall echo with jazz pearls from the second half of the last century, listing hits of Frank Sinatra to Mose Allison, performed by the magnificent Lee Andrew Davison himself, nicknamed "Czech Ray Charles ". This temperamental singer from Alabama once founded the Gospel Choir at Harvard Unicerzity, and today as a mature artist along with leading Czech players entertains jazz lovers in Europe, most preferebly in Reduta.
A warm 3-course deluxe menu (included in ticket price) during the breaks; in the saxophone bar you can enjoy either exclusive Moravian and French wines, spirits of best brands, traditional Czech beer, the bartender girls will gladly fix some of the favorite original mixed beverages or offer a champaigne of unforgettable taste.
Celebrate with us in the red satin comfort and unique atmosphere of the Prague´s oldest jazz club, which stage since the 1950 was sanctified not only by czech jazz pioneers, but later also by Herbie Hancock, and where Václav Havel personally witnessed saxophone solo of Bill Clinton.
