The Bohemian Symphony Orchestra Prague will present the best of Hollywood music on May 20, 2022 at the Reduta Club.
With its Hollywood in Prague program, the unique Bohemian Symphony Orchestra Prague is heading to the stage of the most prestigious jazz club in the Czech Republic, inviting its audience on a large film set. The Prague Reduta Jazz Club will be dominated by the melodies of the biggest Hollywood blockbusters.
Titanic, Deadpool, Bridget Jones's Diary, Twilight, or The Star Was Born, these are all titles that shone on the silver screen and engraved in the hearts and memories of viewers of almost all ages not only with their story, but also with ingenious film music. The evening with the famous Bohemian Symphony Orchestra Prague (BSOP) will commemorate these, now classical, blockbusters and many others.
During the concert, there will also be melodies from the immortal romantic comedies Heavenly Love or Armageddon. During the almost two-hour concert with a break, there will also be melodies from recent film or series hits. These include, for example, the unmistakable tones of the song Shallow, made famous by the film The Star Was Born, which won the Oscars for Best Film in 2019, including singer-songwriter Lady Gaga.
The audience will be able to enjoy all this and much more performed by members of the Bohemian Symphony Orchestra Prague and conductor Martin Šanda, who founded this ensemble in 2002.
Since then, the orchestra has achieved countless successes, such as several European tours with rock legends from Deep Purple, Nazareth, Europe, Toto, Survivor, Foreigner, Journey, Uriah Heep, stars like Alice Cooper, or Bonnie Tyler and others. He can also boast of collaborating on projects with the Swedish band Sabaton, the British band Kosheen, 2Cellos, the famous Spanish opera singer José Carreras or the vocal group The Tenors. The list of star names that had to do with the Prague orchestra is really extensive. Also worth mentioning are violinist Vanessa Mae, singer Sarah Brightman and three-time Grammy Award winner Michael Bublé.
The orchestra has also given a number of classical concerts throughout Europe, but has also toured Japan and China. On the Czech scene, BSOP presents, among other things, a number of subscription concerts at the Municipal House in Prague.
