In honour of the International Jazz Day, Reduta has prepared truly great present – multi-genre festival Masters of Jazz, unique in Czech music scene. Visitors can look forward to stars of all genres from around the world, chamber jazz bands and big bands. In between 30.4. and 3.6. this year you will hear an elite of contemporary popular music in the music hall of one of the ten best European clubs.
Charming Marcella Camargo, Latin-American jazz and bossa nova singer and composer will arrive from far New York City. American multiinstrumentalist George Colligan together with his band will just get under your skin - pianist, trumpeter, drummer, and the owner of a number of prestigious awards. The elegance and style of New York pianist Danny Grissett will be amazingly accompanied by the voice of Patrizia Ferrara. For fans of fusion and funk we have a great news, brilliant Romanian band JazzyBIT has accepted our invitation. Truly international is a modern jazz trio Bulatkin /RU/ - Mathisen /NO/ - Zimring /IL/, playing mainstream jazz and world music. You will hear the real mastery of modern jazz by Lorenzo de Finti Band, real Italian star that has played with Enrico Rava or Fabrizio Bosso. And if you prefer heart-warming, gentle blues with strong feel of gospel, the singer Kyla Brox from Great Britain is the right choice for you.
But we have something for the fans of Czech jazz too. Masters of Jazz will present a great new project Tribute to Herbie Hancock’s Head Hunters prepared by Jan Hasenöhrl, the founder of Czech National Symphony Orchestra. The first lady of Czech jazz Elena Sonenshine will sing together with her well-known band Jocose Jazz. And one of the most celebrated Czech big bands – Bohemia Big Band will mesmerize the fans of old-school swing and jazz. Everyone will fall in love with the incredible voice of singer and actress Tereza Krippner even more so when accompanied by The Masters. At last, the audience can enjoy the authentic New Orleans Dixieland of J. J. Jazzmen and great singer Barbora Vágnerová.
